The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrei Ermak spoke out against the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to provide Russia with security guarantees.
Ermak said about this in an interview with Le Monde.
In early December, Macron proposed to think about the situation of forces that will develop after the conflict in Ukraine, in particular, about the new security architecture, in which Europe “I would like to live tomorrow”.
He also recalled Russia’s fears about the fact that NATO would “come to its doors.”
“Now, if you ask me whether Russia needs security guarantees, I will immediately answer you that I am opposed to this,” Yermak said, commenting on the initiative of the French leader.
The head of the president’s office proposed to provide guarantees for security for Ukraine and increase the sending of weapons to Kyiv.
