Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are currently impossible.
Such an opinion was expressed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk in an interview with the newspaper El Periódico.
“Now our best negotiators and diplomats are soldiers,” she said.
Answering the question whether it can be expected that Kyiv may start negotiations with Moscow in the near future, Vereshchuk assured that “it is currently impossible.”
“We will not participate in any negotiations,” she added.
Deputy Prime Minister also noted that “there are civilians in Bakhmut who are in a serious danger.”
“We would like to evacuate them, but the law does not allow us to force them to leave or evacuate their children without the written consent of their parents,” Vereshchuk specified.
She also expressed the hope that the war will end in 2023.
