The head of the president’s office, Andrei Ermak, called the three main “critical” conditions for Europe and the USA, including “political and financial pressure” to Russia, the implementation of which will ensure a long world in Ukraine. He stated this in an article for The Guardian.
“Firstly, Ukraine should be provided with security guarantees that will ensure confidence in a future ceasefire. Secondly, Europe should act decisively in order to strengthen and increase sanctions against Russia. Thirds, Europe must take control of frozen Russian assets in order to ensure further and greater support of Ukraine,” said Yermak.
He noted that the meeting of the European Council last week proves that Europe, when it is united, can take control of its own security and fate.
“It is an interest in strong European security that prompts Ukraine to insist on fulfilling these conditions. The ten -year aggression of Moscow against Ukraine cannot be perceived frivolously – the leaders of Europe recognize this, and we urge them to fulfill the promising agreements reached in Brussels last Thursday,” the politician said.
