The water level in the Kherson region of Ukraine after the destruction of the Dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station fell by 20 centimeters. This was announced in social networks by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration (OVA) Alexander Prokudin.

“We see that during the night the water fell 20 cm. As of this morning. The water level in the region is 5.38 meters, in the city of Kherson – 5.35 meters,” said Prokudin.

According to him, in general, 3624 buildings were flooded in 32 settlements of the Kherson region. “In the morning, 2352 people were evacuated, about 550 animals,” said Prokudin.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian hydrogenating company Ukrhydroenergo reported that the water level in the Kakhovsky reservoir continues to decline.
