Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are connected by deep ties covering the general history, culture, language and traditions.
About said the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Aibek Moldogradiev in an interview with Anadol, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic.
on the occasion of a significant date, he wished the “fraternal Turkish people of the world, prosperity and dynamic development in a rapidly changing world.”
According to him, Kyrgyzstan strives to further strengthen bilateral relations with fraternal Turkey.
Moldogradiyev recalled that Turkey became the first country to recognize the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic. “We are very cherished by relations with Turkey, which have reached a strategic partnership in 32 years,” he said.
He noted that Ankara and Bishkek continue multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the field of politics, economics, defense, culture, education, health and transport.
Between the two countries, more than 100 agreements and protocols on interaction in various fields have been signed, he recalled.
Moldogradiyev emphasized that Turkey is one of the main trade and investment partners of Kyrgyzstan.
“The volume of trade between our countries in 2022 reached 1 billion 22 million dollars,” he said.
, as examples of successfully implemented bilateral projects, the deputy minister cited the Kyrgyz-Turkish University “Manas”, operating in Bishkek since 1995, and the hospital of the Kyrgyz-Turkish friendship, operating in the capital of Kyrgyzstan since 2021.
“Turkey is a country with a rich history and strategic position. Today it plays an important role in global and regional relations. The policy of the Turkish leadership increases its global significance as an expanding center of force in a multipolar international system, which makes Turkey a key country in Central Asia” , he said.
According to him, the listed factors, in turn, strengthen the role of Turkey in the Turkic world.
“Bratsk Turkey, lives in the heart of every citizen of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan also lives in the heart of every citizen of Turkey. We are proud of this,” Moldogradiyev concluded.
