In Kyrgyzstan, events were held on the occasion of the Day of Democracy and National Unity, annually celebrated in Turkey on July 15.
Turkish Embassy in Bishkek organized a program in the metropolitan park named after Ataturk. The event was held near the monument to the founder of the Turkish Republic of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
After laying the wreaths at the memorial, the participants of the ceremony honored the memory of the dead with a minute of silence on July 15. The state anthem of Turkey sounded.
Speaking at the event, Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek Akhmet Sadyk Dogan recalled that on July 15, Turkey celebrates the 7th anniversary of the failed coup d’etat, one of the most treacherous crimes against Turkey and its people.
The ambassador noted that this day was the victory of democracy, since all the plans of the members of the Fetö terrorist organization were disrupted, and those who intended to encroach on the future of Turkey and the freedom of the Turkish people suffered another defeat.
Turkey defended its independence and sovereignty as a result of a great confrontation, said Dogan.

The event, the organizer of which was the Tika coordination program in Bishkek in collaboration with the municipality of the capital, began in the minute of silence and the execution of national hymns of the two countries.
In his speech, the Turkish ambassador said that Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are fraternal and friendly countries. “We are two countries that honor values and share the pain and joy of each other,” said the ambassador.
As part of the event, 100 seedlings of trees were planted in the metropolitan park in memory of the heroes of Turkey who died on the night of July on the night of July.
