Kyrgyzstan Excluded Taliban From List Of Terrorist Organizations

Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan published a list of extremist terrorist organizations, whose activities are prohibited by the courts in the country.

The list includes 20 organizations. Taliban movements among them are not.

Taliban was recognized as a terrorist movement in Kyrgyzstan in September 2006 by a decision of the Pervomaisky district court of Bishkek.

In the list of organizations prohibited by the courts, Al-Qaeda, the Islamic movement of East Turkestan, Kurdish People’s Congress (“Congra-Gel”), the organization of the liberation of East Turkestan, the Hizbut-Tahrir al-Islam movement.
