Kyrgyzstan ratified agreement on railway – KR – Uzbekistan

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the law of ratification of an agreement between the governments of China, the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan on cooperation in the joint promotion of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

The agreement was signed on June 6 in Beijing. The corresponding Law of the Kyrgyz Republic was adopted by Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) on June 19.

The law will begin to begin the practical implementation of the project for the construction of the railway China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan.

The implementation of this project will have a general positive socio-economic effect in the development of the economy of Kyrgyzstan.

The new railway corridor will become the southern branch of the Continental Bridge of Eurasia and will open access to the markets of the Southeast, Western Asia and the countries of the Middle East, including Turkey and further to the European Union.

Kyrgyzstan ratified the agreement on the railway – Kr – Uzbekistan Project will ensure that the competitiveness in the international transit transportation market by reducing the distance and time of cargo delivery.
