Kyrgyzstan: Research Institute Of Food Safety And Nutrition Will Be Created

In Kyrgyzstan they will create a research institute of food security and nutrition.

The decision on this was made at a meeting of the Council for Food Safety and Nutrition, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyta Torobaeva.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, Torobaev announced the creation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic of Sadir Zhaparov on the instructions of the Research Institute of Food Security and Nutrition.

This institution, according to the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, will become the center of knowledge and innovation that contributes to the improvement of the food security of our country.

“Today we will affirm the composition and position of the institute. I am sure that it will become a new stage in the development of our agro -industrial policy. We all must work together to ensure that every citizen of Kyrgyzstan has access to high -quality and safe food. This is our common Responsibility, ”said Bakyt Torobaev.

The minister added that the creation of the Institute will allow not only to conduct scientific research in the field of agronomy and veterinary medicine, but also to develop recommendations for improving the production and processing of agricultural products.

It is also planned to actively cooperate with international organizations and scientific institutions to introduce the best world practices in the field of food security.

A meeting of the Council ended with the development of recommendations on further steps to increase the level of self -sufficiency of the country and ensure sustainable development of agriculture.
