The gathering of the land that occurred today from the slope on Gurban Khalilov Street in the Yasamalsky district of Baku is not a landslide. This was told to reporters by the head of the National Geological Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Ali Aliyev.
According to him, the gathering of a small layer of land on the road occurred as a result of abundant watering in the courtyard of a private house on a slope. The corresponding structure has already eliminated the consequences of what happened.
“It would be wrong to call this a landslide. In this area there is no dynamics of the development of even small, local landslide processes,” said the head of the service.
