Israeli channel 14 reported with the statement that since the beginning of military operations in Ukraine, the ex-head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, now Prime Minister Yair Lapid twice received an invitation to visit Kyiv on an official visit, but the politician did not respond to proposals.
“For the first time, Lapida was invited by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova, with whom the Israeli politician, then held the post of head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, maintained a connection. The second request received Lapida already when he became the Prime Minister.
Journalists claim that a senior source said during the prime minister’s trip to Paris that Lapid “does not exclude trips to Kyiv and meetings with Zelensky – but only if there is a reason for this.”
