Large-scale Celebrations Were Held In Baku In Honor Of 4th Anniversary Of Victory In Karabakh War

In the capital of Azerbaijan Baku, large -scale festive events dedicated to the fourth anniversary of the Victory in the Karabakh war were held.

In various regions of the city, solemn processions were held, in which military personnel and veterans of the Karabakh war took part.

The events began in the moment of silence in memory of the dead and the performance of the state anthem of Azerbaijan.

During processions, the military orchestra performed solemn marches.

In addition to Baku, the festive events were also held in the cities of Ganja, Khankendi, Lachin and Shusha.

Exactly four years ago, the Azerbaijani army liberated Shush – a symbol of Karabakh.

The counter -operation that began on September 27, 2020 lasted 44 days. During this time, more than 300 settlements were liberated. The entry of the Azerbaijani army into Shushu became a decisive factor that led to the defeat of the Armenian armed forces.

On November 10, 2020, Armenia signed a tripartite statement on the ceasefire, which was also obliged to return to Azerbaijan Agdam, Kelbajarsky and Lachinsky districts.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced on November 8, the day of the Liberation of Shushi, Victory Day, since on November 10, when the war actually ended, coincides with the death of the founder of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
