Large -scale flood in Libya: about 5 thousand damaged

As a result of the destructive flood caused by the Daniel cyclone, in the Libyan region El-Dzhebel-El-Akhdar, about 5 thousand buildings were damaged. This was reported on Facebook by the Office for Housing and Communal Projects under the Government of National Unity of Libya.

“The region needs to be restored, about 35 km (about 22 miles) are damaged, as well as 20 km (about 13 miles) of linear drainage lines that ensure the removal of rainwater,” the department will say.

Water networks were also damaged, which led to interruptions in the supply of drinking water in several areas.

According to official figures, at least 6 thousand people were killed as a result of flooding in Libya, thousands were missing.

Daniel Cyclone fell to the north-east of Libya on September 10 and brought a stormy wind and strong rains with thunderstorms located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

The heavy rains caused serious damage to the infrastructure, many residential buildings, hospitals and other civilian facilities are flooded.
