Danish transport and logistics company A.P. Moeller-MARSK A/S is completing the liquidation of Russian business. The world’s largest container carrier operating with a fleet of almost 800 vessels reached an agreement on the sale of two logistics centers in the Russian Federation, reports The Moscow Times.
According to the press service of the company, regulatory bodies of Russia and the European Union approved the sale of a warehouse in Novorossiysk with a capacity of 1.5 thousand containers, as well as a cooled and frozen product warehouse in St. Petersburg. The deal took place on February 17 and became part of the Maersk strategy for leaving the Russian market, the company emphasized.
last March, Maersk announced that she stops transporting to Russia, and in August sold her share of 30.75% at Global Ports Investments PLC to the largest container transportation operator in Russia – the Case group.
