Largest oil and bitumen deposit was opened in Uzbekistan

The largest deposit of overwhelming oil and bitumen in the Zerafshanskaya hollow is opened in Uzbekistan, Fergana reports with reference to Uzdaily.uz.

According to the data, the field was opened by joint efforts of Sanoat Energetika Guruhi (Seg) and Kontiki-Exploration. He was called “Yangi Uzbekistan” (“New Uzbekistan”). The stocks of bitumen oil of the field are estimated at almost 100 million tons. The maximum annual level of production is predicted in the amount of 1 million tons by 2025 – provided that here they will drill 1,500 wells per year. To ensure the level of bitumen oil production, drilling 1,500 wells per year is planned.
