Largest Ski Resort Of Central Asia Will Be Built In Kyrgyzstan

The construction of the largest ski resort of Central Asia – the Three Vershi project – will begin in Kyrgyzstan, approximately, in May of this year. This was announced by the director of the state enterprise “Kyrgyz Curshel” Zharkynbek Maksutov in an interview with Kabar agency.

According to him, the development of design estimates for infrastructure facilities is now being developed. The construction of the first stage will end in December 2026 and the resort will be able to accept the first tourists. The project consists of three stages: Zhyrgalan, Bozuchuk and Ak-Bulak.

“This ski resort will create unique conditions and will become the largest ski cluster in Central Asia. The total length of the ski tracks will be 250 km, while in Zhyrgalan there will be 120 km of ski tracks.

In addition to the unique infrastructure for skiers, the project will take into account the cultural features of the region – a mosque decorated with Kyrgyz ornaments will appear in Zhyrgalan, ”said the director of the project.

The master plan was developed by European specialists. Currently, the General Plan is being developed by the State Construction of the Kr.

Also this year, the Kyrgyz Administration will begin the construction of three -star hotels consisting of 8 buildings. The construction of four- and five-star hotels will be offered investors.

“At the first stage, 49 hotels united in a single ethno -town will be built in Zhyrgalan, with hotels of category 3, 4 and 5 stars. The highest building will consist of 6 floors,” Maksutov noted.

The resort will be oriented, both on middle -class tourists and the highest, and everyone will be able to find a place to relax depending on their budget.

The resort will be able to take 850 thousand tourists a year. 4600 jobs will be created, this will positively affect the economy of nearby villages and areas, giving local farmers the opportunity to supply their products to the resort area.
