Poland is a strategically important partner of Latvia in strengthening regional security.
This is the President of Latvia Edgar Rinkevich at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslav Sikorsky in the Riga Castle, Delfi reports.
The interlocutors discussed bilateral relations between Poland and Latvia, including defense cooperation, regional security issues, as well as support for Ukraine.

Rinkevich thanked Poland for participating in the combat group of the enhanced presence of NATO under the leadership of Canada in Latvia and in the Baltic Air patrol mission.
The President of Latvia emphasized that Latvia and Poland, along with other EU and NATO member countries, must continue to provide maximum support to Ukraine.
The meeting also discussed the current situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border and preparation for the NATO summit in Washington.
