After the expulsion of 70 diplomats from the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria, the work of the Russian diplomatic mission is impossible, said the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, reports Lenta.ru.
“According to our assessment, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassy is not able to work normally now. Naturally, we will reciprocate our Bulgarian colleagues,” said the Russian minister.
At the end of June, Sofia wanted to send 70 Russian diplomats. The acting Prime Minister of Bulgaria Kirill Petkov said that the reason for this decision was the espionage activities of members of the Russian diplomatic mission.
