Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive in Yerevan on Wednesday, where the meetings with the leadership of Armenia are scheduled for May 6. Then, May 10-11, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry will also visit Baku on a working visit, reports TASS.
As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry of Maria Zakharov said, during contacts it is supposed to “thoroughly consider a wide range of issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as interaction in the international arena.” But the priority topic of the negotiations will be the implementation of existing agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh. “Priority will be paid to the practical aspects of the implementation of statements by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021 on Nagorno-Karabakh,” said Zakharov.
