Russia and China managed to build an exemplary model of interstate interaction, which is truly comprehensive and strategic. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov at the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China.
The Minister recalled that the diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on October 2, 1949, the day after the appearance of the Chinese People’s Republic on the political map of the world.
“The key importance in strengthening our diverse cooperation is played by a rich confidential dialogue at the highest level. It is deeply symbolic that his first foreign visit after taking office in May S.G., according to the results of the presidential election, made in China. The Foreign Minister noted that as a result of consistent many years of joint efforts, bilateral relations reached an unprecedentedly high level.
“I state with satisfaction that in the current geopolitical realities the Russian-Chinese comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction demonstrates absolute stability and maturity, continuing to contribute to the integrated development of our countries, to increase the welfare of our citizens. Cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres is strengthened. The tandem of Moscow and Beijing contributes to maintaining stability on the planet and the formation of a more fair multipolar world order, ”he said.
The Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation expressed confidence that the current exhibition will contribute to the preservation of historical memory, promoting the values of Russian-Chinese friendship, and will also become a noticeable event in the life of Moscow.
