The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the country of statement of French President Emmanuel Macron on nuclear weapons. Sergey Lavrov said this at a press conference following negotiations in Moscow with the Foreign Minister of Zimbabwe Amon Murvira.
“Of course, this is a threat to Russia. If he considers us a threat, collects a meeting of the chiefs of the General Staff of European countries and Britain, says that it is necessary to use nuclear weapons, prepares for the use of nuclear weapons against Russia, this is, of course, the threat,” said the head of Russian diplomacy, answering the corresponding question.
At the same time, according to Lavrov, the EU military contingent in Ukraine will mean a direct war of European countries against Russia.
“We will consider the presence of these troops in Ukrainian territory in the same way as we considered the potential presence of NATO in Ukraine,” he said.
On the eve of French President Emmanuel Macron in his appeal to fellow citizens said that modern Russia became a threat to France and Europe, and he sees no reason to believe that it would stop in Ukraine.
