Law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan seized 111 kg of narcotic substances during operational measures, according to Monday, February 3 of the Uzbek State Media.
In the Samarkand region, three citizens of Tajikistan were detained who tried to transport 10 kg 894 g of opium across bypass roads to Urgutsky district.
During further events, their accomplice, a citizen born in 1982, living in the Urgut district, was detained. 13 kg 85 g of opium were seized in her house, which were formalized according to the procedural procedure. Currently, a criminal case has been instituted against these persons, and they have chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest.
Also, during operational measures carried out in the Tashkent region on the state border of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the Bekabad district, it was found that drugs were transported through the Dalvarzin channel, located in the Mastchokh district of the Sogdian region of Tajikistan, to the Bekobodsky district. In three containers, 8 kg 381 g of opium and 59 kg 296 g of hash were found.
During the operation, four people were detained, who probably arrived at the border for drug obtaining.
Another case was recorded in the Bekabad district, where 400-500 meters from the state border of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the field was discovered a sports bag left by unknown. 3 kg 942 g of opium and 15 kg 473 g of hash was found in the bag.
It is also reported that law enforcement officers of Uzbekistan opened an underground drug laboratory in the Tashkent region and seized synthetic drugs worth more than 800 thousand dollars.
Law enforcement officers detained a resident of the Orthodpinsky district of Tashkent, who had synthetic drugs. This led to the disclosure of the drug laboratory organized by him in the house in the city of Chirchik of the Tashkent region. Precursors, narcotic substances and equipment for their manufacture were found in his home.
Later another person was detained, in the house of which 435 grams of drugs and 12 tablets of potent drugs were found.
According to law enforcement agencies, the precursors seized could be used for the production of 10 kg of synthetic drugs, and the total cost of the seized substances amounted to $ 813 thousand.
A criminal case has been instituted against the suspects, they are arrested.
