Kazakhstan President Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev held a telephone conversation with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the press service of Akorda reports.
During the conversation, Tokaev congratulated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the successful holding of a popular referendum to amend the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that the results of national will are evidence of high trust and firm support to the strategic course of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The leaders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan again confirmed the commitment to strengthening strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries.
Noting the dynamic development of Kazakh-Uzbek relations, the presidents discussed the practical implementation of previously reached agreements.
The heads of state also examined the schedule of upcoming events.
