Leaders Of Kyrgyz And Germany Discussed Bilateral Relations

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov on Monday, September 17, as part of the working visit of in the Kazakhstan, he met with German Chancellor Olaf Sholts in Astana. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The current issues of the Kyrgyz-Germanic agenda in the political, trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates the established friendly relations with Germany, which is one of the country’s important partners in the European Union.

He expressed satisfaction with the activation of the Kyrgyz-German cooperation, noting the official visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Kyrgyzstan, which successfully held last year.

The head of state emphasized that the Kyrgyz side pays great attention to the development of economic ties with Germany, indicating the progressive increase in trade turnover between the two countries.

Chancellor Olaf Sholts noted interest and willingness to continue to develop bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan.

He also noted that there are many topics to deepen cooperation between the two parties, highlighting one of the most relevant today is a matter of migration of specialists from Kyrgyzstan to Germany, which are of great interest for German enterprises.

According to the results of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue the course to strengthen and develop the Kyrgyz-German relations in all areas of mutual interest.
