Leaders Of Uzbekistan And Malaysia Discussed Course Of Implementation Of Agreements At Highest Level

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anvar Ibrahim.

According to the press service of the Uzbek leader, the interlocutors considered topical issues of the further development of the Uzbek-Malaysian multifaceted cooperation in the context of the implementation of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Uzbekistan in May of this year.

“The noticeable intensification of inter-parliamentary, intergovernmental, business contacts was noted with satisfaction. On May 29, the first meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation was fruitfully held in the city of Putraja. The Uzbek-Malaysian Business Council was created,” the statement said.

The leaders paid special attention to the promotion of projects of cooperation of leading companies in industry, “green” energy, petrochemistry, electrical engineering and other industries.

Mirziyoyev and Ibrahim discussed measures to implement joint programs of humanitarian exchange and pilgrimage tourism.

The leaders also considered topical issues of the international and regional agenda, as well as the schedule of upcoming events at the highest level.
