Leaders of XDS and HCU could not decide which of them will be a candidate for German Chancellors

Chairman of the German Christian-Democratic Union (XDS) Armin Pains and the head of the Christian Social Union (HSS) Marcus Zededer, contrary to the initial plans, will not be able to decide on the end of this week, which of them will become a single candidate for chancers from conservatives. This was announced on Sunday the BILD newspaper on its website without specifying the source.

XDS and HCC are two different parties, but in the Bundestag they have one fraction, they also put forward a single candidate for chancellors. For a long time, the applicant was alone – no more than a week ago, Zeder said about his ambitions. Each party, which usually try to reduce differences to a minimum, refused to give up and supported his candidate.

Politicians promised to agree with each other until the end of the week, but as the publication writes, postponed the decision of this issue. They continue contacts on this topic, the article says.

Leaves heads the Government of the Northern Rhine – Westphalia, the most populated federal land, the Zeeter leads Bavaria, the largest in the territory of the earth.

HSS is a regional party and implements political activities only in Bavaria, XDS – in the remaining 15 regions. The representative of HCU has never been a candidate for German Chancellors. Now the ratings of the zero are an order of magnitude higher than that of the Lasheta, that is why he does not want to give up in the issue of nominations of the leader of the party list.

Parliamentary elections will be held in Germany on September 26. The winning party will receive the right to form a majority government, and the leader of its party list in the successful formation of the Cabinet of Ministers will lead it.
