Legendary Afghan Military Worker, former First Vice-President of Afghanistan, Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum swore to resist the “Taliban” moving. This is reported by the newspaper New York Post.
“This time I will finish you exactly! You will not fire anywhere. I will turn the Northern Afghanistan in one solid cemetery for the Taliban,” the warlord promised recently returned from Turkey.
General, together with the closest associates, announced the creation of “Popular Resistance Forces” – detachments staffed by volunteers, local police and parts of the Afghan army. These forces must prevent the capture of the Taliban of the North of the country.
Dostum is a legendary figure in Afghanistan. The politician of Uzbek origin, the 64-year-old Marshal started service in the Afghan army back during the existence of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan (DR), studied in Tashkent and Moscow. After the fall of the Socialist Government, the general retreated to the north of Afghanistan, where he created the actual independent state. Dostum enjoys confidence in the non-Pushunsky population of the North of the country.
In 1996, after the seizure of most Afghanistan, the general left the country, but returned in 2001.
