In the Baku court on serious crimes, a meeting was held in a criminal case against Agil Babaev, who, impending himself as the “12th imam”, made fraud on an especially large scale.
According to haqqın.az, during the meeting, Agil Babaev commented on the testimony of the Nutika Sadyvov, who suffered in a criminal case, which was Babaev’s partner on the şaurman1 network in the last trial.
Earlier, the victim said that Babaev caused him damage in the amount of 500 thousand manat.
The defendant called the words of his ex-partner in business “Nonsense”.
“A self -respecting person does not speak of such things. If he has evidence, let him show. And if he lies, he must get punishment and answer in the next life!”, He said.

Babaev said that Sadygov leads the actions of all the victims, and that the two injured Aslan and Anar tried to break into his house.
“They attacked me on my cottage, threatened, said that they have people everywhere. Then they came to my house in the city and robbed him. At the head of all this, Nicky was standing,” said false men.
He also said that in a month he collected about 5 thousand manatas of Zakat. All this money, he said, took the victims and distributed to those in need.
Babaev denied the words about the construction of a house for families of the Shahids. He said that since 1994 he worked in the internal affairs bodies, and later engaged in the construction business with the financial support of his uncle. And he added that after 2006 he became a partner in the company “şaurman1” at the suggestion of the Nutika Sadyvov.

According to the indictment, Agil Babaev, calling himself the “12th Imam Mehdi”, from 2007 to 2020, abusing the trust of the inhabitants of Baku, appropriated a significant amount of money. He collected money from them for allegedly charitable goals. At the “religious” meetings organized by him, Babaev said that he was sent to the earth with divine force in order to do good and help people with financial difficulties, emphasized how important it is to believe in it in order to avoid torment of the afterlife and gain paradise. Babaev knew how to convince people – they paid him monthly. He assured that the money collected is allegedly distributed to those in need and poor, houses are being built on them for members of the families of the shahids and disabled warfare.
The damage caused to the victims amounted to 2 million 500 thousand manat.
