Libya requested international assistance to eliminate consequences of floods

The Presidential Council of Libya called on friendly countries and international institutions to assist the victims of the flood caused by the Hurricane Daniel, who fell to the east of the country and the Central Mediterranean.

“International solidarity will have a positive impact on the restoration of Libya after the consequences of such a large -scale natural disaster,” the statement said.

In addition, the Libyan authorities called on neighboring countries and international organizations to assist in search and rescue work.

The Council also urged residents of the country to comply with instructions and security warnings published by the army and relevant institutions, as well as provide assistance to the authorities in order to overcome the current crisis situation.
