Lithuania was subjected to an “intensive” cyber attack, which, “probably” proceeds from Russia, said the temporarily acting director of the National Cybersecurity Center Jonas Skardinskas, DEUTSCHE WELLE reports.
The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania noted that the attack was aimed at Lithuanian state institutions and private companies, adding that the most powerful DDOS attacks managed to cope, and the services of a secure national data transfer network were restored. According to Skardinskas, “it is likely that such attacks will continue in the coming days, especially in the transport, energy and financial sectors.”
He noted that Cyberataka probably proceeds from Russia.
