The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population met with a delegation, headed by the director of the State Social Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Social Support and Labor of Lithuania, Julim Varanauskene, which is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the Ministry, at the meeting, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the population, Sakhil Babaev, noted the relations between Azerbaijan and Lithuania, developing from year to year. The experience of cooperation between employment agencies, including within the framework of Twinning projects, was noted. It is emphasized that there is a great potential for expanding bilateral relations in the field of labor and employment, the provision of social services to unprotected segments of the population.
The delegation was informed of social reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years, the Dosta concepts, important steps taken towards increasing pensions and other social payments, work to improve the safety and retirement system. The experience accumulated in the field of the concept of the “single window” providing and automated state social services was noted.
Varanauskene expressed satisfaction with a visit and familiarization with achievements in the social sphere in Azerbaijan. At the meeting, an exchange of views on the future of cooperation, the exchange of advanced experience was held.
