Lithuania will expand the list of commodity transit restrictions between the Kaliningrad region and the rest of Russia when expanding the sanctions of the European Union, the president of the Republic of Gitanas Nauceda said, Reuters reports.
He also stated that Lithuania is ready for retaliatory measures from Russia, including the possible disconnection of Lithuania from the regional energy system. At the same time, Nauceda said that he did not expect a military confrontation.
“We are ready for unfriendly actions on the part of Russia, such as the disconnection from the Brall system and others,” Nauceda said.
