Livan’s Minister refused to apologize for his words

Minister of Information Lebanon George Cordahi, whose statements led to the deterioration of relations between Beirut and the Arab States of the Persian Gulf, said that he did not intend to change his position, alage al Mayadeen reports.

“I am not going to resign and apologize for my statements about the policy of Saudi Arabia in Yemen,” said Cordahi.

Earlier, the head of the government Najib Mikati called on the Minister of Cordahi “to assess the situation in which Lebanon is located, and put national interests above populist slogans.”

On August 5, during participation in the program of the Al Jazeera TV channel, Cordahi defended the Yemen’s rebels – Husites opposing, according to him, unfair and inhuman aggression from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
