British Foreign Minister Liz Tracers and Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktai discussed the deepening cooperation in various fields, TRT World reports with reference to official sources.
According to the report, Liz Trasses emphasized that “Turkey is an important partner for the UK. We are key allies on NATO.”
According to her, at a meeting with Octui, they discussed a deepening cooperation in the areas of energy, defense and security. The Foreign Minister also raised the topic of Ukraine. “We continue to work together to support Ukraine,” she said.
The British minister arrived in Turkey the day before the visit of the Minister of Defense Ben Walles. He has a meeting with his Turkish colleague, Hulushi Akar on June 23. It is assumed that the meeting will pass behind closed doors. The topics of the discussion will be regional security and cooperation in the defense industry.
