London is preparing to impose new sanctions against a number of senior Russians. This was announced by the UK Foreign Ministry James Cleverly, BBC reports.
” Today I will announce new sanctions against persons in 11 countries, including Iran, Russia, Mali and Nicaragua, guilty of torture, sexual violence and suppression of protests, “said Cleverly.
The publication notes that the FSB officers from Crimea Andrei Tishenin and Arthur Shambazov fell under the sanctions (both worked in the Security Service of Ukraine before the annexation of the peninsula). The Government of Great Britain considers them guilty of torture by a citizen of Ukraine Alexander Kostenko.
In addition to the two FSB officers, Major of Justice Valentin Oparin and the prosecutor from Rostov Oleg Tkachenko also fell under the sanctions of Great Britain. They both refused to investigate the torture of Alexander Kostenko.
