“Last fall Azerbaijan has demonstrated his model to solve the problem of restoring territorial integrity. Unfortunately, not all countries that have faced the problem of separatism can use this model to return their lost territories.” This was announced in an interview with HaqQin.az, the ex-president of Moldova Peter Lucinsky.
The former head of the Moldavian state believes that Azerbaijan is a model for many countries, since he managed to restore historical justice after the occupation.
The main Fabulu of the Azerbaijani model, according to Lucinsky, is that when all political means are exhausted and one of the parties to the conflict ignores international law and resolution of international organizations, in particular UN Security Council, the other side takes on all responsibility for the situation And resorts to military levers. And it is important to create by that time the powerful military potential of the country. In this sense, Azerbaijan came very wisely, for many years he stubbornly engaged in military construction. It was necessary to endure, but to solve the question thoroughly and radically.
Lucinsky opposes the Azerbaijani model of the Georgian adventure in Tskhinvali, which turned to Tbilisi in August 2008, the greatest tragedy. The ex-president believes that the government of M.Saakashvili adopted an erroneous and hasty decision to carry out military operation without proper preparation of the army.
But at the same time, according to the ex-president, not every country can apply from the point of view of political strategy and military tactical actions Azerbaijani model of maintaining a 44-day war.
In order to avoid in the future of new bloody conflicts, by the conviction of Lucinsky, the UN should form forced mechanisms for the implementation of solutions adopted by the Security Council. And for this purpose, it is necessary to expand the powers of a supranational universal organization and submit the UN to the right of unhindered intervention in conflicts to restore international law.
Returning to the Azerbaijani model, Lucinsky believes that all this time Baku built brilliant work and interaction with world public opinion institutions.
“During the conflict in Transnistrian, Moldova lost the information war. The fair voice of Kishenev was drowned by powerful Russian propaganda, convincing the world” in the mass killings of innocent Russians. “Azerbaijan won the key fighting of modern war – in the fields of information war,” says Lucinsky .
Ex-president emphasized the role of President Ilham Aliyev, both on the battlefields and in the information war. “Azerbaijan surpassed his opponent at all levels of confrontation,” concluded an ex-president.
