Patriarch Kirill flew to Minsk on June 4 with a three-day visit dedicated to the celebration of the 1030th anniversary of Orthodoxy on the Belarusian lands. The visit of the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called a kind sign.

The Belarusian Orthodox Church belongs to the Moscow Patriarchate and recognizes Cyril as its patriarch.
