President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declared readiness to first go to war if it would be necessary to protect the fatherland.
“We need to do everything to keep our country. But if … (it will be necessary – ed.), I always have a people open this, we, people in chains, first let’s go to protect our fatherland,” – Lukashenko said, whose words leads the State Agency BelTA.
The president called the situation in Europe “psychosis of the inclination of war”. Belarus, he said, was in the epicenter of these events.
According to Lukashenko, during the exercises, he tried to convey to journalists how terrible war, to which deprivation it can lead.
“Here we were on the exercises, and just by the end of these exercises (…) Terrible broke out the weather – shower, wet snow, scary wind. All frozen, stand, tremble. Well, I think you will talk to them. In order to feel even better, foreigners, and we, what to live in the uncomfortable conditions, to which we are accustomed. And I asked them: “Well, now you understand that war is scary, it will be even worse than now? And we are accustomed to good conditions, “said the president.
