Responsibility for the collapse of the Soviet Union is personally carrying the first President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev and the ex-president of Russia Boris Yeltsin. This opinion was expressed on the eve of the anniversary of the “August Putch” head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, Yeltsin and Gorbachev suffered a personal struggle for power to the whole country, so it collapsed. “So already streamline wanted a relationship in the Soviet Union that the country was ruined,” he said in the film “GKCP 30 years later” on the TV channel “Russia 1”.
Lukashenko also believes that the Belovezhskaya Agreement “showed brainlessness and inability” Union leadership to manage the country.
