The president explained that he had gathered a Belarusian delegation for a meeting primarily in order to hear their position on observing the interests of Belarus. And this applies not only to the upcoming meeting of the HCC, but also to the Belarusian-Russian relations as a whole.

The head of state drew attention to the fact that a representative Russian delegation, including the leadership of the country, members of the government, will participate in a meeting of the HCS. “This is the case when we can and should discuss the problems that exist in our relations,” the president said. – There are problems that should be resolved at this stage. “

Turning to the participants in the event, the president asked what issues (taking into account the Academy of Higher National Security) were not resolved. “Everything should be frankly, there should not be any silence,” the head of state added.

In recent years, the level of bilateral mutual trade has been demonstrating stable growth, the Belarusian State Media notes.

According to the results of 2023, the trade turnover of Belarus and Russia amounted to a record $ 53 billion, exceeding the result of the previous one, 2022 by 6 percent.
