President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said that relations between Minsk and Astana are at a very high level. The Belarusian leader said about this at a meeting with the deputy prime minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Marat Nurtleu, BelTA reports.
Lukashenko expressed confidence that the visit of Nurtleu will help strengthen bilateral relations.
“We can state today that the relationship is at a very high level, but, as the athletes say, there is something to work on,” the president said.
According to Lukashenko, the modern world is “selfish and nationalist”, and therefore you only need to hope for yourself and your friends.
“Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus – I, looking ahead, see such an attractive center for other states. Recently, I spoke about this: to hope that some kind of rich neighbor will come and will help us. Unfortunately. The world today is selfish, nationalist. You (foreign ministers) see this better than I am. Therefore, at least at the moment, you need to hope for yourself and your friends who will always come to the rescue and support, ”the Belarusian leader emphasized .
