President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called on members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to rally and act as a united front. He stated this at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, BelTA reports.
“Our meeting takes place in difficult geopolitical and economic conditions. But we managed to successfully stop problems in the foreign exchange and financial market. However, sanctions pressure do not weaken, but rather, on the contrary, intensifies,” the head of state said.
.
Lukashenko believes that Western sanctions will be affected to one degree or another, all the EAEU states, since Russia, in respect of which these restrictions have been introduced, is the largest trade and economic partner of the member countries of the Union.
