Apple on the online sale of its products in Turkey due to a sharp rise in the Leira rate reduced prices by 25%, RIA Novosti reports.
At the end of November, Apple resumed online selling its products in Turkey, suspended earlier because of the lira collapse, while raising the price of it by about 25%. On December 18, a new increase in prices was followed due to the ongoing fall of the Lyra, a total of a month for the month of iPhone in Turkey, almost doubled.
Friday iPhone 13, which after the second rise in price cost 21,499 lir, sold for 16,299 lir, the price of iPhone 13 Pro decreased from 28,999 to 21,999 lir.
Turkish Lira for November fell almost a third compared with the beginning of the year. The fall of the lira was even more accelerated by the fact that the central bank reduced the accounting rate by another 1% despite the growing level of inflation.
At the beginning of the week, the course fell to the level of 18 lire per dollar. A sharp growth of the Lyra began after the statement by the President of Turkey Tayip Erdogan on the new plans to counter the volatility of the course.
