Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday. The conversation took place on the initiative of the French side, the press service of the head of the Azerbaijani state reports.
According to the report, during a telephone conversation, the French president expressed concern about the incident that occurred on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The head of the Azerbaijani state brought to the attention of the President of France that the responsibility for these large-scale provocations falls directly on the military-political leadership of Armenia and the Azerbaijani side taking retaliatory measures.
In addition, during a telephone conversation, the importance of ensuring sustainable peace and security in the region, continuing the peaceful agenda, was emphasized.
Touching upon the fact that the issue of tension on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be taken to the agenda of the UN Security Council on the initiative of France, the president of Azerbaijan once again brought to attention the importance of conducting discussions on an objective basis.
