Since the beginning of the year, the share of gas supplies from Russia in the European market has decreased from 50% to 9%. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron.
According to his estimate, at the beginning of the year a quarter (25%) of all energy in Europe, “it took gas, of which 50% was gas from Russia.”
“Now its share has decreased to 9%,” added the French president.
According to him, the EU was preparing for the fact that winter could be cold, and gas supplies from Russia will be stopped.
“For this, we will have to reduce electricity consumption by 10%,” Macron summed up.
