The UK celebrates the first platinum anniversary in the history of the British monarchy. 96-year-old Elizabeth II is longer than four of her predecessors combined. Over the 70 years of the Queen’s reign in the UK, 14 prime ministers have changed. Official celebrations and festivities will last from June 2 to 5 – these days are announced in the country with weekends.
And, accordingly, Queen Elizabeth II receives gifts on the occasion of his platinum anniversary. And since everyone knows about Her Majesty’s passion for horses and races, these animals are one of the popular gifts, writes Daily Mail.
French President Emmanuel Macron also sent his present to the queen – a cavalry horse nicknamed Fabulous, which means “amazing.” The horse often appeared in public, and last time accompanied Macron during the celebration of Victory Day in Paris May 8.
The horse was one of the 470 horses that served in the Republican Guard – an elite military unit, guarding the President of France around the clock. Usually horses in the regiment are brown and black, so that gray amazing stood out and often carried a banner.
Recall that earlier Queen Elizabeth II had already received a horse as a gift from the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. During the traditional Windsor Royal Horse show, Queen Elizabeth II adopted the delegation of Azerbaijan. She transferred a gift to the president of Azerbaijan – the Karabakh horse Shhrat. The horses of this breed are very appreciated for endurance. The queen was also awarded a certificate that contains all the information about the horse.
