French President Emmanuel Macron urgently talked with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky after the Russian shelling of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Champs Elysees.
It is noted that Macron expressed extreme concern due to the fact that civilians suffered as a result of the blows. “He confirmed his full and unconditional support of the country together with the President of Zelensky, as well as the commitment to France to increase the support of Ukraine in response to the needs expressed by Kyiv, including in relation to military equipment,” the report said.
Zelensky himself reported on Twitter that he discussed with the French president the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense, the need for a tough European and international reaction, and strengthening pressure on the Russian Federation.
