Macron wants to reform UN

French President Emmanuel Macron during a speech from the rostrum of the 77th session of the General Assembly (GA) of the UN proposed to increase the number of permanent members of the UN Security Council.

“France offers to proceed with the reform of the Security Council so that it becomes more representative,” Macron said. The Council, he believes, “must take into his ranks new permanent members, while preserving the ability to fully play his role.”

According to the French leader, at the same time “should limit the right to veto in relation to mass crimes.”
