Venezuela’s authorities intend to start a dialogue with representatives of the opposition in the near future, said President Nicholas Maduro. In particular, the parties will discuss the upcoming elections.
“In terms of politics, we have a dialogue with the whole opposition. In the coming days we will launch a dialogue with the whole opposition to visualize the future election scenario in order to advance in the issue of guarantees of that … that the elections will be free, transparent and fair,” said President, quoted by the Rosis media.
Earlier, the US Treasury Weakened Venezuela’s sanctions and issued a license allowing the American energy company Chevron and its “daughters” to produce oil in a Latin American country. Maduro noted that the agreement that Karakas intends to conclude with Chevron will be profitable for both parties.
