Magate Head Rafael Mariano Grossy Arrived In Tehran

Head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Mariano Grossy against the background of the ongoing negotiation process between Iran and the United States to meet with high -ranking Iranian officials arrived in Tehran.

Grossy will stay in Iran for two days and hold meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Erakchi and the head of the Iranian atomic energy organization Mohammad Islam.

Grossi statement about Iran’s nuclear program

The negotiation process between Iran and the USA

US President Donald Trump, who in 2018 unilaterally left the nuclear deal with Iran. Last month, he sent a letter to the Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with a call for direct nuclear negotiations with Iran. Iran answered the letter through Oman.

Iran and the United States held indirect negotiations in Oman on April 12 after. Based on the results of the negotiations, both the Iranian and American parties said that the negotiations were “positive and constructive.”

The parties announced that they would meet again on April 19th. The American media reported that the second round of negotiations will be held in the capital of Italy Rome, however, the Iranian side said that as a result of consultations it was decided to negotiate in Oman.

Steve Witkoff, a special envoy of US President Donald Trump in the Middle East, on the eve of Fox News, said that, as part of the previous nuclear transaction, the parties agreed to enrich uranium in Iran to the level of 3.67.

Later Witkoff said that Iran should stop enriching uranium.

Foreign Minister Iran Abbas Erakchi in response said that Iran is ready to relieve concern about his nuclear program, but will not discuss his right to enrich Uranus.
